The LOYED P.P. Series Quick Splice Connectors (Insulation Displacement Connectors / IDC Wire Taps) provide an ultra-fast, solderless, and tape-free method to tap into an existing wire run or join two wires in-line. Designed for electrical maintenance, automotive wiring, auxiliary lighting additions, and control systems, they allow operators to create secure branch circuits without cutting the main conductor or stripping wire insulation.
Engineered with a heavy-duty, double-bite U-contact element made of high-conductivity brass, electro-tin plated for lasting corrosion resistance and minimal contact resistance. When closed with standard pliers, the metal blade slices through the wire insulation, making instant and reliable gas-tight contact with the copper strands. The hinged outer housing is molded from high-dielectric, flame-retardant polypropylene (P.P.) with a positive snap-lock safety latch that insulates the joint and prevents accidental opening under severe vibration.
