The CABTEK Stainless Steel SS316 Serrated Washer (also known as an Anti-Vibration Shake-Proof Washer) is designed to sustain preload and prevent the inadvertent loosening of cable glands, locknuts, fittings, and threaded assemblies subjected to extreme vibration. Fitted internally to the equipment enclosure and installed before the locknut, it acts as a high-reliability anti-vibration locking device.
Manufactured in accordance with DIN 6798, the unique internal serrations bite into mating faces during tightening as final flattening occurs. This positive mechanical bite resists rotational forces and equipment vibration, making it critical for installations on heavy vibrating equipment such as shale shakers, mud pumps, motors, drilling units, and compressors.
Precision-stamped from premium marine-grade Stainless Steel 316 (SS316 / SS316L), it delivers exceptional resistance to pitting corrosion, acids, and harsh offshore marine atmospheres.
